Interview: It’s Your Health Radio!

Hey y’all!

Just wanted to share and interview I did with Lisa Davis a few weeks ago. Lisa did a great job and I had a ton of fun. I have a few more speaking engagements the next two weeks then I’ll be back to normal posting. This kid is looking forward to being home for a little while!

Hi Robb! Congrats on the success of your new book! I just wanted to jot you a note to let you know that my hubby and I are huge admirers of yours and you are our Paleo guru. We’re always walking around saying, “WWRWD — What would Robb Wolf do?” I’ve definitely drank the Kool-Aid, um, I mean water.

    I really liked this interview.

I agree, wholeheartedly, about girls and cooking. A guy who can cook has a huge advantage over the guy who can just take the girl out to dinner. I used to flip open a cookbook in the quad or coffee house, and make my shopping lists in class. A pretty girl would often stop and ask about my plans for that list or that recipe.

Many guys don’t realize that girls look for easy, safe, non-embarrassing openings to approach guys, too. Give them an easy way to approach you and they’ll do your work for you. You still have to cook, though. ;)

Great interview. You’ve really honed your message into a very tight presentation. I think you are ready for prime time.

Maybe at some point you could address something that came up in the interview – that high level of red meat consumption is a risk factor in developing/aggravating inflammatory arthritis. My understanding is there’s a pretty well established link between gout and the consumption of certain animal sources high in purine, but is there anything to this red meat/RA link?

From what I can tell the mechanism goes something like this: the high collagen content of meat leads to collagen sensitization and consequent production of anticollagen antibodies. Bogus? I’ve already eliminated alcohol, gluten, grains, starches, sugars, dairy, eggs, legumes, nuts, seeds & nightshades. If red meat goes too, I’ll have no choice but to increase my already massive consumption of “Andy Deas’ Famous Apple Cinnamon Coconut Pudding”.™ © ®
