CrossFit Nutrition Cert: Toronto, Ontario CA!!!

I LOVE Toronto! I had the good fortune of spending almost 2 weeks there back in 2004 and I love the city. Great food, beautiful architecture and great people. We did back-to-bak days for the Crossfit Nutrition Certification this past weekend and it was fantastic! Both days ran over due to the volume of great questions…huge thanks to the folks who attended and to John, Machiko and Paul for putting on a great weekend. I cannot wait to come back!

Rob! You rocked. Thanks so much for you and your wife’s effort and giving us your all on Sunday. Love how you presented it. Reinforced lots of stuff…and learned lots too. Cant wait for you to come back. Be well.

    Robb,

Awesome stuff man! Really looking forward to more info on transglutaminase. A quick google search of Glucagon + Insulin sensitivity lead me to a pretty bad ass site with some great info to geek out on:

    http://www.glucagon.com/index.html

I am sure you have came across this site already, but thought the folks on here would enjoy it aswell.

Great job on sunday Robb. I was looking forward to your cert for a while and it turned out just as good if not better than i hoped it would. Thanks for all the great info that you provide on your website and via the performance menu. Keep up the good work.

Same shirt 2 days in a row. For shame!

I’ve said it a couple times already I will again. Great cert, worth every cent and then some more.

HA Ryan, I only wore the “Power By Bacon” shirt (thanks to Dutch Lowy for that!) each day AFTER lunch (I did a little training each day). So technically it was 1 day worth of shirt, spread over 2 days!

      Thanks for coming out!

Robb, looking forward to seeing you in the ATL in November. Question about Intermittent Fasting:

Is there a time/place for I.F? More to the point…is there a place that it should not be used? I have been injured for the better part of 6 months and have been slowly returning to Rip’s strength WOD’s and getting back in the swing of things. I stumbled onto I.F. after fasting for my annual physical and felt great having not eaten for 15 hours. Am I doing my body harm by implementing I.F. since I’m not able to hit the WOD’s hard (currently doing Rip’s WODs twice a week).

      Charles-
So long as you get in enough food while you are eating, you are good to go. Folks who have shift work or HIGH stress might not do so well on IF. You just need to tinker and the results are what should guide your efforts.

    Robb,

I can’t thank you enough for your presentation on Sunday. It was rewarding and empowering. I have begun my path down the gluten free/dairy free/paleo diet. I will definitely keep you up to date on my progress.

Thanks again to you and Nicki for all your efforts!

  7. Roelant says:

So when are you coming to the beautiful city of MONTREAL, man?
    :o )

  8. Roelant says:

cool, but as a Chico dude, I’d avoid winter here if I were you. I don’t think you’d handle -40C very well….

  9. Carri says:

Robb, I’ll take this opportunity to thank you and Nicki for making the trek out to our fair city and putting on such an IMPORTANT certification. My head is still spinning with the volume of information you threw at us! In the last two days, I’ve been trying to process it all, and figure out a way to pass the “Reader’s Digest” version on to my friends, family and clients without scaring the poop out of them!

You are a mighty fine speaker, an impressive scholar and a pretty funny guy too (minus the “teeter-totter” joke, that is!). It was great to have met you.
