I've always enjoyed the fart jokes mixed into the dry science stuff ... in other words, the book sounds awesome. Can't wait to get my hands on it!

Maybe I'll get a custom embroidered whoopy-cushion for the first 1000 books. It's afart-load of fun in every one!

Robb, been awhile still trying to be more Zone efficient with job, wife, kids, training etc.

Wondering if you have any good info on Fish oil and blood thining qualities. I have a Physical Therapy pt. that was in a 30 foot fall, fractured several bones, no head injury luckily, but is now taking a large amount of prophylactic
ASA. Discussed with his physician taking the fish oil, she was interested but without a good resource regardless of how much I can regurgitate she is not convinced. To add to that the pt. came in today and c/o Achey joints? wonder why falling from 30 feet maybe?

anyways any good info would be greatly appreciated.

Thank again for all you do for the CF faithful.

Jake-
This is what I found with a quick search:
http://www.circ.ahajournals.org/cgi/content/full/94/9/2337
at the bottom it discusses the decreased platelet aggregating properties of fish oil...some of THOSE references might lead you to some concrete numbers. That paper is from '96 I think so there may be more up-to-date stuff. Any type of anti \-clotting protocol SHOULD involve a coag panel to track...platelet aggregation! There is NO reason why the doc can not use this as an opportunity to do a case study and either set base lines and or corroborate clinical reports from other docs. The would however require both time and thinking which is tough to do when you have 15 minute with a patient....so glad I pulled the rip cord on medicine!

Let me know if that helps

Robb - re: #3, Akismet is a Wordpress plug-in that I use, very easy to install and does a great job of filtering and deleting comments. Just go to your plug-ins page of your dashboard and look for it, you should be able to just click "install" and you'll be fine.

Outline looks great.

I cracked up when I saw "Satan's Lottery". Maybe you should approach Milton Bradley about doing a board game. It could sorta be like Life, but nobody wins.

Ohhh...I like that!

Hey Robb,

Just wanted to throw my hands in - I'm a webdesigner (WordPress is my domain), so if you need a hand with the spam situation, email me. I'd be happy to help.

Not to cut in front of the "wild Scottsman" (being part-Highlander myself), but just letting you know that help is available.

Thanks for all you do.

Adam-
Thank you for the offer! You may regret it! I'm an idiot with this stuff. Will contact you ASAP.

Robb,
How about we PREPAY for the whole book and then get the beta chapters as they come out. We MUST pay up-front for the book to get the chapters.

Looking forward to it and seeing you again soon

John-
That might be the way it goes...still looking into that.

Robb- Thanks for the prompt reply, sounds like a great idea and I would definitely be interested in paying to have access to a beta version and would be willing to give feedback. Hopefully the cost would be reasonable.

Chris-
My understanding is you charge say $29.95 or whatever you are going to charge for the finished project. Folks get ALL of the beta releases AND the finished product. Still investigating that but it seems like a win-win for everyone.

The outline looks amazing, What I would do to get my hands on that book right now. It looks like you are going to lay down all the information in a very accessible way for a wide variety of readers which is vital.
Hopefully we will se more posts from you on the blog with some possible excerpts :)

Thanks Robb

Hey Chris-
One reader has suggested a "beta book" in which I release things a chapter at a time, receive feedback along the way and then release the whole book at the end. Folks would pay the "cover price" for the hardback and get all the iterations along the way. This is NOT the same situation as what Art Devany was suggesting in which you bought each chapter individually and end up paying like $120 for a damn book! Still trying to figure all that out.
